NORSE WATCHESWATCHING OVER
The watch and the family app

Watch over someone you love, all day.

Norse is a fall detection watch and a family app that quietly watches over your loved one and lets you know they are okay.

It is much more than a fall watch. The watch keeps your loved one safe. The app lets the whole family relax, because you can see they are okay without phoning to check. See how the Norse AI helps look after them.

  • See at a glance that your loved one is okay, from your own phone
  • Automatic fall detection with a loud SOS
  • Works out and about, not just at home
  • Calls the family directly, no call centre

Coverage depends on mobile signal and on the device. Norse Watches is a reassurance tool, not a medical device, and not a guarantee of safety.

MORE THAN A FALL ALARM

It watches over the whole day, not just the fall.

A fall alarm only helps in the worst moment. The Norse app helps every day, by quietly showing the family that your loved one is okay. Here is what it does, day to day, on the family app.

ALL IS WELL

See that they are okay, from your own phone

Open the app and you get one calm word: all is well. When your loved one is home and going about the day, that is what you see. No need to ring and check. Everyone in the family can look, any time.

OUT AND ABOUT

It works out and about, not just at home

The watch has its own SIM card, so it keeps working when your loved one leaves the house. The app shows you roughly where they are, and it is honest about when it last heard from the watch.

STILL ON THE WRIST

It tells you if the watch is not being worn

A watch left in a drawer cannot help anyone. When we cannot be sure it is on the wrist, the app says so plainly, so you can give a gentle reminder to put it back on.

THE WHOLE DAY

The day so far, in plain order

Every moment laid out simply, most recent first. Home, out for a short walk, back again, each one there to tap for a little more. A calm sense of the day, without a single phone call.

FALL DETECTION

Still a proper fall detection watch.

Norse began as a fall detection watch, and that job is still done properly. If your loved one has a fall, the watch senses it and starts a short countdown they can cancel if they are fine. If they cannot, a loud SOS sounds, the watch calls your family directly, and the app shows where your loved one is. There is no call centre in the middle.

It also works as an SOS watch and a GPS tracker for an elderly loved one in Ireland, with safe zones you can set, so you get an alert if they leave a familiar area.

We will always be straight with you. No fall detection catches every fall, and ours does not either. Soft, slow falls are the hard ones for any watch to feel, which is why the SOS button is always there. This is reassurance, not a guarantee, and it depends on the watch being worn and on mobile signal.

BUILT-IN INTELLIGENCE

The Norse AI: it learns what normal looks like

Most alarms only react when a button is pressed. The Norse Watch runs our own AI, on the watch and on our servers, so it can notice when something is not right and reach the family even when your loved one cannot ask for help.

Fewer false alarms

When the watch senses a possible fall, our AI cross-checks it against other signals, such as whether movement has stopped and the time of day, before it alerts the family. The alerts you get are the ones that matter.

Learns the daily routine

Over time the AI learns your loved one's normal pattern, when they are usually at home, out, active or resting. If something clearly breaks that pattern, such as leaving the house at an unusual hour or staying still far longer than usual, it can flag it early.

Smart from day one

From the moment it is set up it runs clear safety rules: left a safe zone, out at an odd hour, no movement when there usually is, battery about to die, or the SOS button pressed. The learning then makes it sharper the longer it is worn.

We are honest about what the AI can and cannot do. It works on movement and location, never on listening in. It cannot see inside a room or tell which room someone is in, because no wrist watch can. Learning from everyday behaviour is never perfect, so we tune it carefully and we will never overstate it. It is reassurance, and it depends on mobile signal and on the device.

DON'T NEED OUR WATCH?

Use the Apple, Samsung or Pixel watch your loved one already wears.

Add the Norse App and the same Norse AI runs on a watch your loved one already owns, learning their routine and alerting your family. On supported watches it can alert you to a fall too. HOW WE COMPARE

The Norse Watch next to a typical monitored alarm watch.

The hardware in this category is much of a muchness. What changes the day-to-day is the AI, who the watch actually calls, and how simple the plan is. Here is an honest side by side.

Norse Watch questions, answered

Is this just a fall alarm?+

No. Fall detection is one part of it. Day to day, the family app lets you see that your loved one is okay from your own phone, shows roughly where they are when they are out, tells you if the watch may not be on their wrist, and reminds you to charge it before it runs flat. The fall alarm is there for the worst moment, and the app watches over the everyday.

How can I know if an elderly parent has fallen when I am not there?+

This is exactly what Norse is built for. If your loved one has a fall and cannot cancel the short countdown, the watch sounds a loud SOS and calls your family directly with their location, so you are not left wondering. Day to day, the app also lets you see from your own phone that they are okay. It depends on the watch being worn and on mobile signal, and it is reassurance, not a guarantee.

Can it help me watch over an elderly parent living alone?+

Yes. For a loved one who lives alone, the family app shows at a glance that they are okay, tells you when they are home or out and about, and raises the alarm automatically if they have a fall or press SOS. The whole family can look in without phoning, and the alert comes straight to you rather than a call centre.

Is the Norse Watch a medical alert watch?+

In everyday terms, yes, it does that job: it raises the alarm and calls the family if your loved one falls or presses SOS. We are careful with words though, because it is a safety and reassurance tool, not a medical device, and we make no medical claims.

Does it work as a GPS tracker or GPS watch for an elderly loved one?+

Yes. The watch uses GPS with WiFi and cell-network assist to show where your loved one is on the family app, accurate to around 5 to 15 m outdoors. It works as a GPS tracker and GPS watch for an elderly loved one, and the location depends on mobile signal and on the device.

Is it an SOS watch for the elderly?+

Yes. There is a one-press SOS button that auto-dials up to 3 family contacts with two-way voice, and a loud SOS sounds on a confirmed fall. It is an SOS watch made for older loved ones.

Is it a fall detector for elderly people who live alone?+

Yes. It has automatic fall detection designed for older wearers, with a cancellable countdown so a stumble does not raise a false alarm. For a loved one who lives alone it can raise the alarm even when they cannot press a button. It is reassurance, not a guarantee.

Is it a smart watch for elderly loved ones, or an elderly safety watch?+

It is an elderly safety watch first. It looks like a normal watch rather than a medical device, and it focuses on safety: fall detection, SOS, GPS and the family app, rather than apps and notifications.

Is it waterproof?+

The watch is IPX7 rated, so it is water resistant and fine for everyday splashes and hand washing. We will confirm the full rating on the launch unit.

How long does the battery last?+

Around 2 days of normal use on the 900 mAh battery, which we will confirm on the launch unit. It charges from a standard wall socket with a magnetic cable.

Does it need a phone or wifi?+

No. The Norse Watch has a roaming 4G SIM built in, so your loved one never needs a phone or home wifi. It connects on its own across Irish networks.
